Our Story

ML Capital was born out of a shared vision by co-founders Jack Mallette and Jack Lyon. As finance students, they observed a frustrating paradox: exceptionally talented individuals in their classes were being overlooked by top-tier firms simply because they lacked the internship experience needed to secure an internship—a requirement that felt counterintuitive. Recognizing the need for a change, Jack and Jack founded ML Capital to provide themselves and others with real-world finance experience, bypassing the traditional barriers set by larger firms.

What began as a personal initiative quickly gained traction. Students from across Canada resonated with their mission and were eager to be part of this new approach to gaining practical experience in the finance industry. What started as a small project soon grew into a movement, and ML Capital has continued to expand its reach and impact ever since.

Our Goals

At ML Capital, we want everyone on our team to be constantly learning and exploring new ideas. We admire those who take risks and view mistakes as valuable learning opportunities. Our ultimate goal is to equip our team members with the real-world experience they need to secure careers in finance, using ML Capital as the foundation for their success.
